The Problem: Dedicated Parking

The core issue in urban parking is the inefficient use of available spots, resulting in wasted time, money, and resources.

Finding parking in city centers is challenging, especially when there are more cars than spaces. Drivers waste time searching for spots, leading to increased fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This often happens in expansive parking lots, underground garages, and multi-story car parks with limited visibility and confusing signage, leaving drivers unaware of open parking spaces.

Also, many cities have inflexible payment regulations, requiring cash or SMS payments for parking duration.

The Solution: Shared Parking

Shared parking arrangements often involve specific land uses such as offices, restaurants, retail stores, colleges, churches, cinemas, and special event venues. On the other hand, dedicated parking areas for individual uses, especially in new developments, can lead to less efficient land utilization.

Cities can optimize parking options and solutions by leveraging the varying demand patterns of parking spaces throughout the day. For instance, office parking tends to be vacant in the evenings and on weekends, while residential parking tends to be fuller during those times. This presents an opportunity to make better use of existing parking spaces instead of constructing new ones.

WEBILPark: Blockchain-Powered Shared Parking Service

Users will be able to access Webility’s shared parking app to find cheaper and more convenient options that existing parking lots offer. Users will be able to upload their private parking spot onto the app, set a minimum duration and price for parking as well as marking which days it is available.

Businesses will also be able to offer their parking spots for use during non-business hours, including the weekend. They can mark the number of parking spaces available, as well as set their own price while still allocating some space for their personal use if needed.

  • How to use:

Users choose what time they require a parking space for before filtering the price and location of available spaces. In order to proceed with payment, they would need to log in or sign up to the app via email address or phone number. In order to book a parking space, they will then need to enter in their license plate number as well as a valid phone number where our team will send confirmation via text message or in-app notification before proceeding with payment.

  • Blockchain integration:

Data from each use is stored and compiled within our servers. We’ll gather information such as time, location, age, availability, average amount spent, average time used in order to provide greater options, rewards, and overall service. Based on the data we collect from users and providers, we will mint special NFTs that offer short-term passes to users. Frequent users of the same parking spot or location will be able to purchase these NFTs at a discounted price.

Our WEBI token will also be applied as a simpler and quicker way to pay and access this service. Users of the service will be rewarded for their participation in the form of WEBI token or Service Tokens, whereas parking space owners will be rewarded WEBI token each time their space is used. Parking space providers will also be able to access other parking locations as a reward for offering their private parking space.

Lastly, we are also planning on allowing users and providers to give feedback through our app or website.A rating system will be implemented where a higher rating score for either user or provider will translate to greater rewards i.e. service tokens, discount coupons, free parking time. Service Tokens earned will be able to be converted to ‘points’ in order to access services offered by other affiliates.

  • Expansion:

We plan to grow this model so it includes other services such as car washing, and electric vehicle charging stations.

Future versions of our app will include shared car washing where users can pay for season passes or a 30 or 90 day period. Each use will earn them points which can be used or converted into our service points. Our app will allow users to allocate another friend or family as a user of their pass.
